J Lenni Dorner

J Lenni Dorner is best known for the writer's reference book, Preparing to Write Settings that Feel Like Characters, which is available on Amazon and Smashwords. Other recent publication credits are The Creative Writing Institute’s WRONG!: A themed anthology 2014 and The Soul of Wit from Signum University's Mythgard Institute’s "Almost an Inkling" contest. J is a co-host at the Blogging from A to Z April Challenge#AtoZChallenge.

J descends from the Lenni Lenape tribe of Native Americans. The author was raised in a religious part of Pennsylvania that prohibits photographing people. These upbringings lead J to become a proud supporter of the #HeForShe and #WeNeedDiverseBooks movements.

When not at the computer, J is often in the middle of a forest. Besides writing and reading, J enjoys gaming, finding images of dragons, devouring cups of coffee or tea, and watching funny cat videos. You should never ask J to cook indoors... unless you want to see what epic failure looks like. Fortunately, a wonderful chef saw fit to marry this Lenni Lenape, and they've been living happily-ever-after ever since.

WRONG!: A themed anthology 2015
December 2014
Kindle | Goodreads

Creative Writing Institute is pleased to present its second annual anthology -- WRONG!

"I have a list and a map. What could possibly go wrong?"

Short story contest winners, short-listed finalists, judges, invited award winning guests and CWI staff had fun answering that question. They produced 30 very different, thought-provoking plots. Genres include general fiction, humor, fantasy, romance, dystopian, horror and sci-fi.

Proceeds from sales of the ebook or print book will benefit Creative Writing Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit charity that sponsors cancer patients in writing courses. The school also provides a variety of writing courses for all levels from beginner to advanced.
